Haunted Gingerbread House

For weeks Mr. Music has been asking to make a Halloween Gingerbread house. I've been putting it off and stepping around it hoping to avoid that production. But I happened upon a kit during one of my days this week and couldn't pass up the opportunity to make Music and ALL my boys very happy. Yea!!!

Music's Birthday

This year Mr. Music wanted to go out to dinner and bowling. We were able to do dinner on his birthday, (Cheeburger Cheeburger) but haven't had the time to go bowling. We've tried, but ended up hitting it on league night and other such stuff. So last night for FHE we FINALLY were able to go. Happy Birthday Mr. Music!!

Bowtie, Pesto, and Tomato Pasta

Another feta cheese success. (Mr. Music will eat almost anything with feta on it. He even ate pizza last night, first time in a VERY long while. Spinach and Feta pizza. I loved it!) He found this recipe and we went to get all of the ingredients yesterday and we made it after church today. Good stuff, and he is actually eating! YEA!

Glasses!

Guess who got glasses today!

Rocanyon's Birthday April 13th

Mr. Prince gives not only names but gives birthdays to his toys. One of his Lego creations (it may be small but the boy LOVES it) has the name Rocanyon and for a very long time the boys have been looking forward to today, because it's Rocanyon's birthday. This morning Mr. Music made a cake, and when he got home from school he made Candy Crunch Pudding Pie. Happy Birthday Rocanyon! (I think Mr. Prince should definitely have a limited amount of beloved toys!) And I think we shouldn't eat all of these in one day... we shall see.

Pizza Margherita

Mr. Music has been suggesting a lot of recipes lately. Our deal is, "If you make it then you have to eat it." to get him to eat we decided to have him cook as often as he wants. He doesn't always like the finished product but he will eat a bite or two. (Which is more than he usually eats.)
Tonight he made Pizza Margherita (a recipe he found on the back of the Kraft mozzarella cheese). Looks good to me! Let's eat!

Muffins in the morning

Mr. Music doesn't eat. Okay that might be a slight exaggeration. But he certainly doesn't eat as much as I would like. Recently we noticed he stopped eating breakfast. One morning when we made muffins he ate! So, Dad asked me to buy a lot of muffin mix so I did and then we showed Music how to follow the instructions and every morning since he actually eats breakfast! Not only that but the other boys love the muffins and I love the way our house smells every morning! This morning he made pumpkin quick bread and everyone got their own personal mini loaf. What a great treat for Mr. Rights birthday!

Tree Trimmer Treats

Every Saturday morning I wake up knowing I will be going to the store to pick up ingredients for some wonderful treat. So far they have mostly been chocolate something or others. This week is no exception. These are Rice Krispy balls made from Cocoa Krispies. So much fun. Thanks to our aspiring baker we get a fun treat on Saturdays!

Girl Stuff

Ever since Mr. Super started school he loves girl stuff. At least that is what I thought. Almost every day he got to pick a toy to bring home out of the prize box, and more often than not he has brought home girl stuff. Pink pencils, barbie things, hello kittie, you name it. I thought he was enchanted by them because things like that are such a novelty around here. That was until yesterday.
~Lightbulb~
He brought home a tiara yesterday. I told him it was lovely and ask him if he wanted some help putting it on. He told me no and then proceeded to shove it onto my head. Each time I took it off he insisted I put it back on. And when I asked him if I looked like a queen he told me, "No, you are a princess." I love that of course. And that is when the lightbulb went on. Every time he brought home these little treasures he always handed them to me as soon as he walked in the house. I thought he was just letting me see what he got as a prize that day, but he never did that when he brought home dinosaurs or superhero stuff. DUH!!! He has been bringing them home for me. Wow, what a sweet kid. It only took me a year...

On a little side note. Mr. Prince also loved my tiara and made the comment, "You're prettier than the Moms." I don't know who "The Moms" are, but I really don't care. I'm prettier than they are anyway.
Thanks Prince!

Mr. Music is 12

When I asked Mr. Music what it means to turn 12 he said, "It means I get to pass the sacrament." He is nervous and excited, but big brother Mr Right is going to be there to help him and so tomorrow he will get to do what he has waited for so long to do. (I'm pretty sure I'm more nervous than he is.) His actual birth Day came on Labor Day. We thought it appropriate for me to be in labor on Labor Day. So, with everyone home from school for the day we went out to lunch. Always an adventure! But they did pretty well. It is getting easier as they grow. I can tell you I am happy about that!

I'm so bummed because I didn't get a pic of Music with my Dad who came out to give him the priesthood. I always had the intention, but it just never happened. Darn. But the day he was ordained we had dinner with the Crimsons (of course) and Grandma Crimson made this AWESOME CAKE!! Look at that face, you can see how much he loves it.

She tried to make it look just like his electric guitar. She did a pretty dang good job too. She even got the size right. WOW!

On his birthday while he was at school I was busy at work on his room. For months he has been eyeing the Mario bedroom stuff. These wall stickers are so easy and really make his room fun!

I replaced his cork board with a poster. He hasn't even mentioned the cork board or anything which was on it. He loves the poster though.

And of course Mario sheets and bedspread. I got him curtains too but they didn't arrive until a few days later so I don't have a pic. But they are awesome and he LOVES his new room. It's nice to know exactly what one of the boys wants. Sometimes it's a big guessing game. I loved that he made it so easy on me. I just had to look at his wish list on Amazon. Maybe I should introduce that to Mr. Prince....hmmmmm.....

Dubble Bubble

Here is the latest item Mr Music has purchased. He has had his eye on this shirt for SEVERAL months now. He only put it on long enough for me to take pictures. He wants to wear it on the first day of school. He can't wait to show his friends.
He has already ordered his next item. When we receive the package I will post a pic. He can't wait, they are supposed to come within a week.

Meet Julian

The tank has been set up for a week, eagerly awaiting an occupant. This morning Mr. Music earned the last dollar he needed to buy the fish. I took him to the store and he picked out this Betta and instantly named him Julian. This, being our first pet since just before Mr. Music was born, will hopefully be an easy step into pet-dom. We shall see. Mr. Music obviously loves him already. What happens when Mr. D.A. is old enough to buy a puppy? Oh brace yourself!

All of that work paid off

A few months ago Mr. Music decided he wanted an electric guitar. He picked one out on Amazon and decided he was going to earn money and buy it. (He has quite a wish list on Amazon.) Last week he had finally earned enough, and so we ordered it. Today it came and he found his wig (something he also "earned to buy") and started playing. The thing is...he's pretty good. Having prior experience with guitar and his violin he quickly figured out how to make songs. He has been practicing different rifts and songs and is planning to serenade the guests we will be having at our block party on the 4th of July.
He wants to buy drums next...that is after the fish tank...and maybe the gumball machine, both of which are much less expensive. He's deciding.

Notes for the future

Mr. Prince has a deadline. He has repeatedly told me that on June 21st 2017 he needs to be in Alaska.

(I don't know why. I only know he is insistent upon it.)

Mr. Music has also made some plans for the future. He told me he needs to marry a girl with brown skin. (He isn't particular at this point what nationality. He just likes dark skin.)He also has picked out names for his three daughters. Which of course he is planning on only having daughters. Their names are to be Diamond, Ocean and Asianelle (or Asia for short).

Just thought I would document these for future reference.

A note from Mr. Prince to Mr. Music

When I opened my email this morning I had Delivery Status Notification in my inbox saying that a message which was sent was undeliverable due to a bad address. I read the note and knew instantly who had sent it...Mr. Prince. It was addressed to Mr. Music.

Spirit Week

This week was spirit week for my boys in middle school. They had a lot of fun dressing up each day. The first day was just miss-match day. The second day was look alike day. I was glad I had matching shirts from our Disney trip last year. The third day was Dress for Success day. Mr. Right actually wore one of Dad's shirts. It was a bit long on him, but only a bit. Scary. And Mr. Music wore his Sunday clothes. He told me everyone loved his dress for success look. Thursday was their favorite. It was Decade Day. Mr. Right chose the 70's and Mr. Music chose the 50's. I think they looked great. Friday was sports day. They both wore sports clothing and they will be having field day type activities. They have had a great week. YEA Spirit Week.

A crazy busy day in the Kingdom

Mr. Music lost another tooth. He only has one more baby tooth to lose. He is VERY aware of this and is looking forward to having all of his baby teeth gone. He knows the next step for him is braces, he isn't sure how he feels about those. But he is excited to be growing up. Mr. D.A. for the first time had a friend come over for a sleep over last night. I let him stay up a bit later than usual, but not a ton later. It didn't matter though, he slept most of the afternoon today and even went to sleep on my bed before evening prayers were even said. He LOVED having a friend over and can't wait until the next time we can do it, but it was exhausting!
Mr. Right shaved for the first time today. He has been growing some hair on his lip and asked me a while ago to teach him. So we've been planning and decided today was the day. He was a bit apprehensive, but did a great job. I told him he probably only needs to do it maybe once a week or so for now. But before bed he was already talking about "next week when I shave..." I loved teaching him and he even gave me a voluntary hug and kiss when he was done. YEA!
Today at martial arts class Mr. Perfect was informed that next week he would be promoted from yellow belt to green belt. Whahoo! He is really excited. He also got his hair cut today. He wanted to grow out his hair, but hated having to comb it every day. So, short it is. He looks great either way. Mr. Prince loves the United States. Today while we were doing all of our taxi driving from lessons and such he was listing all of the States in alphabetical order saying what each state was. "Florida- the sunshine state. Missouri-the show me state. etc. etc." I don't know them all and I definitely can't say all of the states in order but he can. Last week during conference this was one of his things. He is making a map of the US state by state. When he found he didn't have room for them all he drew an outline first. See next pic...He discovered it was much easier if he had the outline first and then drew the states in. Boy this kid is good! He loves to play this game with me where he draws half a state and I have to guess what it is. If I get it right he draws the rest, if I don't he gives me hints like..."This was the 12th state." or "This state is one of the eight smallest states. (WHO KNOWS THAT?) Mr. Prince knows it. He loves his United States. And finally my sweet Mr. Super. We dragged him along with us as we taxied kids here and there. This is a pic of him waiting in the van while some of the boys were still in their classes. Boy he is a cutie!
