Day Trip

Last night we decided today should be a beach day. We didn't have any appointments or urgent business and it really was our last day to try to get there before school starts. So, when the boys woke up this morning we had them do their chores, put on bathing suits, eat some breakfast, grab their towels, and hop in the van.
Guess who was the first one in the water? Mr. Music got in and didn't come out until it was time for us to leave. It's incredible when you think that only a few short years ago he wouldn't go near the water. He used to literally scream as we drove by the beach. Who would have ever thought he would be such a fish? Thanks to a great Kindergarten teacher, he overcame his fear of the water and now is spending the entire day in it. Wow!
I wasn't going to spend much time in the water. I love the pool- not the beach. Remember how Anikin feels about sand? Me too! BUT, I have these cute little boys who want me to be with them. So, I went out with Mr. Play and ended up totally enjoying myself. In fact, I think I may have been enjoying myself too much. I got way out past the break of the waves, and past where I could touch, and was swimming and just enjoying the water. THEN IT HAPPENED! I started thinking. I know, I know, it's kind of dangerous for me to do that sometimes. I was out past the noise of the people and it occured to me that this was just like those movies. It's the girl, the one who is all alone, swimming past where all of the other beachgoers are..and in my mind I heard the music. Then something brushed against my leg. One ear-splitting scream later Jeffrey was totally apologising. I laughed it off. It WAS pretty funny. He told me when he saw how scared I was he felt really sorry. But I have to admit, I laughed pretty hard. Perfect timing once again My Love.
Play and Imagination loved getting buried.
D.A. is an awesome swimmer. It didn't matter how far out the big boys went, he was going with them. Whahoo. At the end of the day Dad showed him how to dive through the waves. He totally loved it.
I was surprised at how much of the day Mr. Right spent out of the water. Generally speaking he is my biggest fish. Today he spent half of the day in the water and the other half out. I couldn't resist burying him. Later when we buried the little boys up to their necks he got a bit jealous, but I had buried enough treasure for the day. Perhaps next time we can bury him up to his neck... and then leave him there... *tee hee*
Mr. Play just coming out of the sand after having been buried all the way to his chin. Look at that happy face!
When we lived out on the islands and the boys were all little Dad and I used to make "bathtubs" for them to play in. He decided to make one today. The boys didn't need it anymore, they are old enough to brave the waves, but we ended up making two of them, and they totally enjoyed them. I'm only sorry we didn't get a picture of Mr. Geography digging in "his" diamond mine. He spent quite a bit of the day digging for diamonds.
I loved spending the day counting my seven dots. I'm so glad they all love to swim.
As we headed back to the van Mr. Imagination found a shell he really liked. He hung it on his glasses and that is where is stayed through dinner and the drive home. Stylin'!
What a fun day! I'm so glad we could take the day to do it. Now all are sleeping... :)

A couple of changes

There is a matter of business I should have taken care of in January, I was reluctant because half of the names still fit. However, this matter can not be ignored any longer. So.. From now on:
Mr. Perfect shall be known as MR. IMAGINATION
Mr. Prince shall be known as MR. GEOGRAPHY
Mr. Super shall be known as MR. PLAY
These changes are for obvious reasons. That is all. Carry on...
