Planting a tree

Today Prince came home with a project. All of my boys have had this project in third grade, so far none of them have cared about it past the first stage, but this year I think it might be different.
He was sent home with a tree sapling and instructions on how to plant and take care of it. He wanted to do it all himself but in the end he did allow Dad to at least watch over him as he planted it. He has a bucket outside to fill up and water it daily, and knowing this kid we might actually have a new tree this year.
