Beastly

I have waited for months for the movie to be released. But I have a good friend that I particularly want to go see it with, who HAPPENED to have to leave town for the last three weeks. (Great timing good friend!)
Anyway, I was getting impatient so I ordered the book. It came in the mail this afternoon and I just finished it. It's a quick little read but oh so fun. I know from the ads that the movie can't be nearly as fun as the book...although I do like the makeup of the movie beast better. But like always I already know I liked the book better than I will like the movie.
Still can't wait though....she comes home in two days. Maybe next week....

Spontaneous Combustion

We had Mr Right's birthday party last weekend. Yes, I know, way late, but it's fun to stretch it out. Right?
Anyway, one of the gifts he got were CD's of Bill Cosby. He loves them. He has a personal CD player with earphones and has been listening to them. So, as the day has past, periodically all of a sudden he breaks into laughter. It happens every 30 seconds or so. You would think I would get used to it quickly, but it was always a shock to hear this laughter come out of nowhere, for seemingly no reason. I loved hearing him laugh so much. The spontaneous combustion of laughter has just been fun!

Sweet pic

My sister sent this pic to me today. It was taken at Christmastime. That's her little grand-baby in my arms and my own Mr. Music enjoying him with me. I just thought it was a sweet pic of me and me, my son, and my great-nephew.

You may call me "good man"

The other day as I was tucking the boys into bed I asked Mr. Perfect if he had read his scriptures. "Yep!"
And said his prayers. "You know it!"
And then I said the fateful words....."Good boy."
"MOOOOOOOOOM!" (That's Mom not moom.) "You can't call me 'good boy' anymore. I'm not a little boy. You may call me 'good man'."
I laughed hard and then exited the room saying something to the effect of, "Oh I am so sorry You're Majesty."

Ahhhh....the joy of warm weather

The last few days have been heavenly. The boys have played outside quite a bit and sometimes even without coats. It's so nice to feel spring coming on.
Here is Mr. Perfect enjoying the warmth! Ahhhhhhhh.

I love St.Patrick's Day

So, we started the day with green pancakes and syrup and made sure everyone was obviously wearing green as they left the house. We do a memory game with the boys and this morning the game revolved around St. Patrick's Day stuff. It was fun to put together and I enjoyed discussing the fun traditions of the day as well as St Patrick who I think of as one of the coolest guys ever. (Go read his story, I'll bet you will agree with me.)
Also, I have some really cool guardian spice girls. I can't call them angels, because...well...they are more like spice girls. They make me laugh hard and simply create fun wherever they are! They are spicy!
A couple of days ago we got a shamrock covered package from them in the mail. It was filled with goodies, decorations and fun stuff for this very special day. The boys (literally) ate it up. And then yesterday cards came from one of our Spice girls for each of us in the mail. My boys LOVED getting their own mail. And each of their cards was perfect for them.
Mr. Music's card actually played music. He loved it.
Mr Super got a Snoopy card. Big and colorful! Mr. D.A. got one with a Puppy on it. He thought his was the best by far.
Mr. Right refused to take a picture without the teenage angst look. But I must tell you he was smiling before I pulled out the camera.
Mr. Perfect loved everything about St. Patrick's Day. He was the first one dressed in green this morning and loved all of our celebratory stuff.
Mr. Prince got a bright and beautiful pull out rainbow card. I couldn't get a good picture of him. But it's because he was too engrossed with his card.
And this last pic is just too cute not to post. After walking in from school Mr. Super headed straight to the cookies. Didn't put his backpack away. Didn't hang up his hoodie. Cookies! What's important after all?
